My Mother’s Cheesecake

 Light, lemony “cheesecake” filling in a cookie crust and criss-cross cookie topping.  This is my adaptation of a classic homemade cheesecake my mom used to make.

Carob and Date Pancakes

 Lovely for breakfast or even a snack, these light, fluffy pancakes offer a healthy does of daily minerals with the subtle sweetness of calcium-rich carob and bits of sweet, chewy, mineral-rich dates scattered throughout.

Hi Everyone, and welcome to my cookbook blog!

I’ve decided to designate this space exclusively to my upcoming cookbook, Sweet Freedom.  The book is designed for those of us with food sensitivities that prevent us from consuming certain common ingredients due to negative physical reactions.  But don’t fear!  The book will feature recipes for amazing and delicious baked goods, desserts, and other treats–all free of wheat, eggs, dairy, or refined sugars.  There will also be a large percentage of recipes that are entirely gluten-free and some grain-free.  Because the recipes are also free of any animal products, they are also all vegan and suitable for kosher diets as well.

On this site, you’ll find photos and descriptions of various recipes from the book, so you can get an idea of what the delectable treats will look like.  To get a sense of the types of recipes you’ll find, take a look at the desserts on my general food and diet blog, Diet, Dessert and Dogs.
